The task was to create a diagram or map of the data gathered on the police reports on the London riots. We decided to make a diagram on the reported crimes. crimes, Shootings, vandalism, looting, arson and riots. We then tallied the crimes and then put each coloured string up to represent each crime. Each CM of string is 1 count of crime reported. This is the collected data and each colour represents each string colour

London Riot Data

Organising data
These are examples of how the London riot data was used when collected. They put each crime/police responses/causes of the riot/integration/riots happening again into each category and then sub categories for all the different type's of crime. Its clearer and more easy to understand when it is done in this graphical way. We where set the task to do the same thing. Look at the spread sheet and then analyse it and make a chart to represent the data which is on the spread sheet.
This is another example but this one was about the appetite for destruction. So they analysed the data and focused on what was hit by the rioters
This is a sample on what we want our collected data too look like with each coloured string.
This was us working as a team to create our flow chart with the data we collected.
And this is our finished piece of work with. I don't feel it went to well because there was so many days of rioting we couldn't put all the days on the wall. So in the time we had we just did 4 days of the riots. It could be more improved but overall I'm happy with it.
